COMPANION DRAWINGS TO WE ARE READY (Series)

The 13 companion drawings to WE ARE READY were not created before the sculpture, but during its formation. Each time before a new layer of the 420 sqm foil structure was added, BECKER photographed the current state — the words, the symbols, the knots, the energetic tensions.

 

These photographs were not copied. They were translated. In concentrated reduction, black-and-white drawings emerged — not depicting the physical entanglement, but what each layer “spoke.”

 

The drawings are not documentation of the knots; they are resonances. They give individual layers a stage — not as material, but as states of consciousness.

 

Without color, without phosphorescence, without tape or plastic, the structural core of BECKER’s visual language becomes visible:

eyes, micro-figures, fragmentations, Rorschach-like symmetries, thresholds, portals. At the same time, the series marks a conscious gesture:

Not everything is loud.

Not everything is neon.

Not everything must explode.

Together, the 13 works form the mental radiography of WE ARE READY:

The sculpture is the body.

The drawings are the nervous system.

The hidden messages the DNA.
