DER BEWEGTE KAY
"A body comes undone — and begins to rearrange itself."
DER BEWEGTE KAY unfolds like suspended skin. The packing paper is neither framed nor protected — it hangs freely, vulnerable, broken and marked, supported by an invisible cardboard roll. The material remains honest: it will tear, fold, move. That fragility is intentional.
The central figure references the iconic pose from „Der bewegte Mann“ — yet here it is stripped of humor. Comedy becomes catharsis. The black body appears fragmented, vibrating, dissolving. It does not express lightness, but transition: identity in motion.
A white, serpent-like energy spirals upward along the body. It feels like a second organism — a force rising from within. Between black and white lies a layer of pink: raw, exposed, emotional tissue. This is where tension burns.
Across the surface, small eyes, micro-faces and creatures emerge. They function as fragments of the unconscious — impulses, memories, inner codes moving through the transformation.
The work is structured in four layers:
Black as body.
Pink as wound.
White as energy.
The small figures as psychic residue.
Within AREA 02, the work marks the moment when identity loosens its grip. Not collapse. Not victory. Transformation mid-process. A body reconfiguring itself while old structures still cling.
Not comedy. Not tragedy. Movement.
