TANJUN SUGITA

9.500,00€Preis

"Trust wasn’t weakness. It was the tipping point."

TANJUN SUGITA is born from overload. Pop, noise, manga, prayer and self-doubt collide in a field of color that refuses harmony. Pink, yellow, blue and black do not coexist — they confront each other.

At the center: a black triangle with an eye. A symbol of seeing that here represents delayed recognition rather than control. Not an all-seeing gaze, but a tired one. A realization that comes too late. Across the surface runs a Japanese sentence:

“Maybe I am simply too trusting.”

Yet the words are painted over, shifted, interrupted. The painting seems unwilling to accept its own confession. Pride and insight visibly clash.

The support is cardboard — a material of transport, storage, transition. Nothing monumental. Nothing eternal. An honest body that carries marks. Pop placed not on canvas, but on packaging. Trust that was shipped. Hope that traveled. TANJUN SUGITA is not ironic pop. It is a confession that resists itself.

TANJUN SUGITA is part of the upcoming exhibition BETROGENER TRAUM and belongs to AREA 04 — Chaos.
