THE CUBE THAT FOLLOWED ME HOME

1.600,00 €Preis

"A cube that does not judge — it reflects. Whoever touches it meets themselves."

The golden puzzle cube was acquired by BECKER during the silent journey #nippoff in Hakone — a place where mist, ritual and stillness form a dense atmosphere. At the time, it was harmless: plastic, gold foil, playful mechanism.

Its transformation began only after returning to Europe. Its surfaces were covered in glass shards and dusted fragments, marked with the numbers 2, 3 and 23. What once was a toy became a threshold object. The cube may only be touched using white silk paper — never directly. Not because of danger, but because of what it now carries.

A curse was activated in a documented ritual. Its wording remains undisclosed. Its principle, however, is simple:

It does not act outward — it acts inward.

It does not judge — it reflects.

The accompanying video captures the moment of activation. No sound. Only gestures. Only intensity.

Within the frame, subtle light phenomena appear — orbs, fleeting luminous presences moving through the space — not dramatic, but subtly paranormal in presence. The footage is not frightening; it feels intimate. Concentrated. Almost suspended.

The cube itself is small, yet its presence alters perception. It marks a threshold:

not between good and evil,

but between contact and awareness.

To turn it is a decision.

To refrain is also a decision.

THE CUBE THAT FOLLOWED ME HOME is not a threat. It is a reflective relic —

an object that promises resolution and returns you to yourself.

THE CUBE THAT FOLLOWED ME HOME is part of the upcoming exhibition BETROGENER TRAUM and belongs to AREA 06 — Clarity & Action.
