WE ARE READY
"A cocoon of knots, words, and light. What was bound begins to glow."
WE ARE READY is not an object in the conventional sense – it is a ritual body.
420 square meters of transparent plastic were painted, written on, cut, intertwined, knotted, and bound together. No layer rests loosely on another. Every message is tied to a second one; every symbol is physically connected. The work holds itself together.
The red inscriptions read like warnings or prayers: "Help.", "They are here.", "Smile.", "We are all connected.". They oscillate between private voice and collective signal – layered inner statements condensed into a shared frequency.
Symbols move between these words: protection circles, spirals, thresholds, seals, heart markings. They are not decorative but functional nodes. The plastic sheets were literally tied to each other, creating a visible nervous system of material tension.
At its core lies a heart of light. The cocoon absorbs energy and glows in the dark. This glow is not an effect, but a consequence: pain, anger, love, and protection collapse into radiance.
From a distance, the cocoon may initially appear unsettling:
like an oversized, blood-stained dental swab —
used, wounded, organic, almost repulsive.
But this reading shifts. In darkness, the object begins to shine.
The knotted layers shimmer.
The surface transforms into something otherworldly —
like a nest of mystical alien eggs,
a breeding body of future energy.
Within this perceptual rupture lies its force:
What looks like a wound becomes protection.
What appears used becomes condensed power.
What feels like pain becomes preparation.
What appears bound is awakening. WE ARE READY is not a call. It is a state of being.
